(Still pregnant.)
In much better spririts today though! At my appt. this morning, my midwife stripped my membranes (Holy OUCH!) so I'm hoping that will kick things into gear. If not, I have another appt. on Monday and then the plan is to be induced on Thursday. I'm hoping I can get in on Tuesday for induction though--I'll call on Friday to find out.
Thanks for your sympathy yesterday! I appreciated it! Pray that this little one comes out soon!

Dealing...
Wow--I seriously am ready to be done being pregnant.
I did not feel this way with Olivia; yes, I was ready to be done, but it wasn't this crazy, emotional, seriously get this thing OUT of me feeling that I have this time. Today is hard b/c this would have been the day I had Olivia (2 days before due date). I also just found out that a friend of mine, due a WEEK AFTER me, is going in to be induced in 15 minutes. While, I am very happy for her, particularly b/c one of their other children has major medical problems and they have already filled their deductible for the year, I am feeling miserable and selfish for myself.
In the last 24 hours I have: eaten spicy Thai food, gone for a walk, cleaned the house, pumped several times, and drank like a gallon of raspberry tea...oh yes, and tried the "unmentionables".
I think I may be pregnant forever.

Today I want sympathy...
Well, as much as I appreciated all of you sympathy on Monday, I really was trying to do a funny post!! I mean, didn't you all think it was funny about the whole toilet paper thing?? Yea, sure it can be tough, but I was going for giggles. :)
Today though, oh today, TODAY I want sympathy. Why you ask?? WHY??? Because TODAY Olivia decided to wake up at 2:15 AM. And remain awake. The entire, ENTIRE, rest of the night. Again you may find yourself asking, WHY? And that my friends, is a very, VERY good question. One to which, I have no, NO answer. She appears to be feeling fine, no sign of those eye teeth...she was happy, just content to lay in bed with one of us (until we thought she was sleeping and would get up, then she would pop up too). I even tried feeding that little tummy; which she was more than happy to oblige to. I didn't put on the video she kept asking for.
We remained in bed (except for the 3:30 snack) until 5. Then we were up for the day. Breakfast (and finally) the video (x2 so I could get in a catnap) ensued. She was happy as a clam all morning! Into things a bit more, but more than happy to stop when asked (although, I'm sure my mean mommy voice was a bit meaner this morning). At 7:30, I couldn't be in the house anymore without going a little crazy so we headed to town...at which point she fell asleep...within 3 minutes of leaving the house. :) Of course. She took a little 20 min. nap on our way to town and through the bank. Went to Target and she was her usual perky little self saying "hello" (in that little "LOOK AT ME, AREN'T I CUTE!!!!!" voice) and then went to ECFE, but not before driving through Caribou...for Mommy of course. She was a perfect PEACH at class and went down for her nap afterwards with record-breaking speed. I took a nap too, but of course, those wonderful symptoms of being REALLLY pregnant don't take a break no matter how tired you are, so my nap was cut short.
In spite of it all, I feel pretty good. I'm glad she's napping. But you all can still feel bad for me today if you want; I'll take the pity. :) Pray for us that tonight is back to NORMAL!!

You know you're REALLY pregnant when...
- Your maternity clothes don't cover your big old bump anymore!
- You can't sleep more than 1-2 hrs. at a time without having to pee
- You can't roll over or move any sort of position without grunting
- You can't breathe
- And my all time favorite...You can't utilize toilet paper after going to the bathroom without considerable strain and reeaaccchhing aroun the belly!

A few shots...

The big girl bed is continuing to go well--nighttime has actually proved to be more difficult than naptime, contrary to what I had previously thought it would be! It has taken us an hour and then an hour and a 1/2 the last two nights, but at least she stays in bed once she's gone to sleep. As Ryan and I were talking last night, I told him I'd much rather spend time getting her to bed than being up several times during the night (I know, I know, that's coming soon enough!!) Naptime she has gone to bed immediately 2 days in a row! Can't complain about that!!
Ryan is going hunting the next few days in South Dakota--pray no baby comes and he doesn't have to rush home! My parents are both out of town too so two of my very bestest friends are spending Thursday and Friday nights with me. I'm excited for this time with them too!
Oh, AND, I only have a MAXIMUM of 7 days (including today) left of work before maternity leave!! YEA!!!!!!

Babymoon in Duluth

Let me just say it was stinkin' freezin' in Duluth this weekend!!! We had a GREAT time though. It was wonderful to be able to sleep in, eat when we wanted, watch TV as much (and no cartoons!) as we wanted, and just get some good relaxing, quality time together. I feel recharged and ready to go.
When we got home this afternoon, we were ultra productive:
- We put a new light fixture in Olivia's new room
- Raised the crib back up, clean sheets, bumper pads on, etc. and
- Took out the teeny tiny diapers (really, are they really that little??) to get ready
I think I'm ready to have a baby! :) Let's at least give it one more week...

Big Girl Bed Debut
And thus begins the transition!
We started Olivia in her big girl bed last night (pics to come later!!). Bed time was rough, it took 3 hours of me laying with her, attempting to leave, putting her back in bed, etc., etc.... She wasn't upset, I think she was just totally not sure what to think of all this!! However, she only woke up once during the night and I layed with her for literally like a minute and she was back asleep!
This morning I awoke to her knocking on her door to come out...it was way cute. :) Now she's with Grandma and Grandpa for the weekend; they'll try the big girl bed with her at their house, but I think we'll be back to square one trying at home next week!! Oh well!
Ryan and I are heading to Duluth this weekend for a "babymoon" before the only getaways have to involve pumping!! We're really looking forward to it!!

Project #1 = COMPLETED!
Well, Olivia might be sad that her play house is all gone...

Also, my very very very wonderful Mother in law helped me clean and organize my entire kitchen yesterday! All the drawers and cupboards are all re-organized, cleaned, and in awesome condition!
Today the carpet gets put into Olivia's new room too!! It's all coming together!

I know they're big, BUT
I have received yet AGAIN another SMOOTH comment from a BRILLIANT member of society.
My mom and I made a Target run last weekend with Olivia; when we pulled into the parking lot my mom received an important phone call she needed to take. So I got in the backseat and began entertaining Olivia--I just sat with the door open and myself facing backwards next to her. A car pulled in the spot one down from us and a couple in their late 50's-early 60's got out with their grandson (as I heard him calling them G'ma and G'pa). Gramps looks over at me and says... WAIT FOR IT, WAIT FOR IT....
Gramps: "Is that the community jug?"
Me: "WHAT?"
Gramps: "Oh, I thought you were nursing her."
WHAT? Because if I was nursing her, that would make that comment OKAY?
WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE? And WHY DO THEY TALK TO ME???

Have you seen it?
I've lost my pizazz.
My spunk.
My enthusiasm.
My vivaciousness.
I've decided that I have become old, boring, crabby, and tired. I've become fascinated with people who have energy and enthusiasm lately (like my midwife Susan)...and I thought maybe I was getting a little weird. But I think I'm just jealous of energy. This baby is sucking out my lifeforce. And I'm excited to be back to myself...hopefully soon!!
I think I need some time with fun girlfriends to re-charge...anyone up for some fun? :)
How do you keep up your fun factor?
