I'm not sure why she wants to get up when this is what she's greeted with. I mean, wouldn't it scare you enough to sleep longer?

Finally!
I forgot to add part of my NKOTB story--when Mara and I were waiting in line to enter the Xcel, a guy selling t-shirts came up to us and tried to offer us the final one. We were planning, of course, to turn him down, but before we could he looked at my belly and said, "Oh never mind, it wouldn't fit you anyway...you and Jr." Thanks for the reminder! :)
However! I finally had some redemption! When picking up my bridesmaid's dress from the shop last week for my friend Trisha's wedding, I quickly ran to the bathroom while the gal helping me went in back to retrieve my dress. When I came back out, she took a good look at me and said, "Oh! Now I see! I was wondering how this big dress was going to fit you! You are such a small person!" (Well, I don't know about small, but I appreciated it it none the less!) She asked me how far along I was (30 weeks, holy moly) and said, "Wow, you look great! My face and everything was so fat when I was pregnant, but you just look great!"
Thank you wonderful dress woman!

See the girls with curls in their ha-air....
Aren't they singing about me? I'm sure they are!
So I know you all are DYING to hear about how AWESOME the New Kids concert was! And the rest of you are still thinking I'm a dork! Either way, it was a great time! My friend Mara and I were fortunate enough to get tickets to the concert--we were NKOTB fans together way back in the day--the best way to celebrate this concert. There were people there with their husbands, seriously, that's not fun! :)
Mara and I spent lots of time waiting for the opening act complaining about how we should really have spent more money on our tickets because we just weren't close enough. However...after the opening act, Natasha Bedingfield (she was good, but I was ready for the main event!), a man came around and asked us if we wanted to move down to the lower deck! Do we!! We ended up with great seats, how lucky!
The boys put on a great show--they played all their oldies, but goodies--seriously the only reason I went to the concert...I don't even know any of their new songs! They joked at the difference between "then and now" is that now the girls drink beer at their concerts and the others are rubbing their bellies! So true! :) We had a great time, and it was totally worth it!

Not Me Monday (or Tuesday!)
I have been wanting to join the Not Me Monday! club for many Mondays, but I work all day and just don't have time! So here's my Not me Monday/Tuesday!
I did not bribe my child to come and eat her super nutritious breakfast of poptarts that my husband brought home from hunting just so I could join her with one.
And I certainly did not follow up the poptart with an oatmeal creme pie (another treat brought home from my husband...seriously, does he want me to get fat?).
I most certainly did not get Olivia dressed after her poptart breakfast without even though she had sticky hair from her super nutritious breakfast. That would just be wrong.
I did not spend naptime napping myself and the rest of the afternoon playing on the computer instead of cleaning my house, because it is already SUPER clean from being home ALL weekend. I especially wouldn't be ignoring the SUPER TINY pile of dishes in the kitchen.
I would NEVER tell my daughter, "I'll be right there!", when I had no intention of walking downstairs to play "Old Donald" with her because I wanted to sit on the computer instead. I especially wouldn't do this repeated times in one afternoon.
AND, I would NOT be leaving my husband at home with my little one tonight, EVEN THOUGH I haven't seen him ALL weekend, JUST so I (stress...IIIII) can go to the NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK CONCERT with my good friend Mara!!!!!!!!! You got the right stuff...baby.... :)

What did you do?
Oh man I have been a blog slacker lately. And I don't feel energetic enough today to make any promises of fruitful posts anytime soon! :) We're going on a month of teething, waking SUPER early, and now a cold... Hopefully over soon and back to our regular schedule and energy level!
Anyway, we've been thinking a lot about what to do with transitioning Olivia to her big girl bed with the new baby coming. She will be 22 mos. old, perfectly old enough, but she loves her crib. I am anxious about my good sleeper becoming not so good when she gets the "freedom" of a big girl bed, especially at nap time.
So, tell me about your transitions from crib to big girl/boy bed, particularly if there was another one on the way! Good stories and horror stories, especially how you handled the difficulties! And make sure you tell me how old your kids were! Thanks!

What a great morning...
OR NOT. Olivia woke up at 5:30. Of course crabby because she didn't get enough sleep. But, I sucked it up and made for a fun morning. We ran errands and went to gymnastics open gym. She was so tired, but happy, when we got home! I put her down for her nap after a snack at 11:30... it's now 12:30 and she's been crying in her crib for 15 min. She's so not getting up yet.
Sigh.
Sigh.

Busy bees
Wow, the last 2 weeks have absolutely flown by. I feel like we have been so busy, but, with what?? Just the usual, I guess--It has just seemed like I haven't had any time to sit down and blog. Let's see...what's new?
Olivia has cut all 6 of her new teeth, still working their way up, but at least they are through!
She also had a bought of diarrhea that lasted 2 days this week, but no other symptoms. What's that about? Weird... Seems much better now though.
Olivia is speaking in sentences! Last week she said to me (in reference to me asking how her night was with Daddy the night before...I was gone) "Chicken is hot." What a funny little sentence! Apparently they had chicken for supper...and it was hot. :) She's also putting "s's" at the end of words and even added an "ed" ending. It's fun to hear her language change and develop.
Bebe #2 is CRAZY BUSY in my belly! I know, I need to post pics...but first I need to take them! I have been so bad this time around about taking pictures of my belly! I never think about it when I am around my camera!! Poor kid... neglected in pictures already!! This baby is so active and moves in different ways than Olivia did. She was VERY active as well, but this one hurts me when it moves!
I'm 28 weeks (already!) and I had to take my glucose test yesterday-gross-hopefully no problems!
Ryan shot a doe--yay--one down, how many left? He's having a hunting buddy come down this weekend to hunt, so I am a widow. Anybody have something fun they want to do with me?
I think that's all...pics soon! I promise!
