Olivia's Theme Song

Warning: If you have young, impressionable girls with you, you may want them to leave the room. This video can be EXTREMELY ADDICTING. And once you see it Moms, you'll know why you don't want your child addicted to it!! :)

Those poor grown-up fairies probably went to Julliard and are $100,000 in debt from that education...not to mention that their parents probably shelled out $50k for lessons when they were 9. I made it through 59 seconds of this video. I hope Olivia discovers a love of soccer.

I think I'm gonna puke.....this is exactly why I don't let my daughter have anything "princess" related, and I have limited the presence of Tinkerbell/fairies in our house....NOT EASY. How does one raise a young feminist these days? ;-)

hmmm... wonder where she gets it... flashback about 5 years ago... "lah-dee-ah-hee, lah-dee-ah-hoo, lah-dee-hah, lah-dee-ah-ha-ha!" :-)

Just to clarify: I was NOT the one to expose her to the dancing fairies (I am, yes I am, a fairy dancing giiiirl), that was my Mom. Thanks Mom. The song is eternally in my head now. :)

Don't worry about her feminist-ness...she also loves watching hunting videos...although I'm not sure what the feminist movement thinks about hunting in general, I'm sure they would support a woman engaging in such a sport.

A feminist hunter, I love it!! I used to hunt.....but I love to sleep more (although I did enjoy wearing my hot pink hunting vest).

Oh Ehlan...stop now while you still can! To each thier own...but man that would kill me! At about 60 seconds I looked at the time and was in complete AWE that there were still an additional 2 minutes left! Really? over 3 minutes?

Oh Grandma's...they do the darndest things!

A 'dab' of princess will do around here...just a 'dab'!

Ha! My Eva's face lit up when she saw that on. I too, was astounded at how long it went on (and on and on and on). But seriously, what's wrong with liking pink and purple and things to be pretty. Lord knows, that's not me. But I want my girls to enjoy it if it lights their fire. I don't exactly encourage the princess stuff, but in my mind it's all about balance. Although, I don't allow even a bit of barbie in this house... She's way too out of balnce for me :)!

Don't worry ladies, I'm totally about balance when it comes to Olivia's interests. I'm totally a sucker for fairies...princesses, eh? I don't care for the Disney princess STUFF. But I love fairies :). And I love pink and purple. And I would love if Olivia loved dance and gymnastics (which she currently does!). But I also would love if she wanted to play basketball and softball and refused to wear skirts.

Well, I was going to stay quiet on this, but Ehlan "outed" me. So, I will just rest on my laurels...look at how my daughter turned out ...when Olivia and I were exploring clips on fairies, we found that one and it obviously tickled her fancy...again, and again, and again...also, you can't imagine what Ehlan did at Renaissance Faires regarding "dressing up" and dancing!...and what she was exposed to when other people dressed up and danced!!!!

ha ha ha... I really should NOT have watched that right before going to bed now. I might have nightmares :)
