I recently bought Jessica Seinfeld's book Deceptively Delicious and I am loving it! I must admit, I have not used any of the recipes yet...I just haven't had time; however, I love the ideas.! I was a bit skeptical at first--I mean, shouldn't kids just learn to eat their vegetables the old fashioned way? That's what I had to do!! (And it wasn't easy--ask my folks!) But I got to thinking, why not just incorporate these recipes into Olivia's diet while still encouraging her to eat her veggies the "other" way! (Duh, right?)
We are having company the next two weekends, but I am hoping after that to have some time to make up some purees to have on hand and try out a few of the recipes. I'm excited!!

Oh, give me the yummy recipes. I need to sneak veggies into MY diet. :)
I sneak things in all the time Ehlan ALONG with the normal offerings! It's a great way, I think, just to increase the nutrition! GO FOR IT!
I'm so excited! Thanks guys! Sarah, I will send the recipes your way...I need them in MY diet also!!!
another friend of mine just blogged about this book the other day and LOVES it! She said the food she has made tasted great!
This book looks awesome! I think I could use it too because I definitely do not eat enough veggies. :)
Oh yum.
My fav are the chickpea choco. chip cookies, the cauliflower mashed pot's, and how she adds pureed carrots and spinach to almost EVERYTHING. Love the book. Let me know which are your fav's.
I am visiting your blog via bill, miss and our brood... I got this cookbook for Christmas and have made the squash, sweet potato, broccoli and spinich puree... it took me some time, but was worth it... I plan to make the cauliflower, carrot and banana puree this weekend.
As for the recipes I've made the applesauce muffins and the spagehtti pie. Both were really yummy! My husband and daughter who are both picky eaters loved them both!
Hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
