Olivia is SO close to crawling! Ryan and I are making a bet on the day she crawls. My bet is October 21st and Ryan's bet is October 19th.

Here's a little more information to help you make an informed bet:
Olivia can consistently get from a sitting position to all fours; she can also go back to sitting. Once on all fours, she can take one or two little hand steps before falling on her belly. From belly position, she holds herself up with her arms, and she is also able to get her legs up under her...just not at the same time!
To be considered crawling:
We decided Olivia will need to crawl 5 feet for it to qualify as crawling. Where does 5 feet come from you ask? It is the approximate distance from her favorite play spot in the living room to her basket of toys.
So, join the betting fun! Don't worry, I can offer counseling if you become addicted! :) We may just have to come up with a prize for the winner...I'll consult with Ryan.

Hmm, for 5 feet...I guess I'll say Oct. 31st..since it might take her a few days to work up to the whole 5 feet!
I love how the parameters of O's crawling contest has been set! Now, let's see, today is Oct 9...I'm going with an earlier date because well, I just think she is gifted. So, my prediction is Wednesday, October 17, preferrably sometime in the afternoon or early evening.
I'll weigh in on October 22, the day Grammi and Grampy come back from Australia.
Hmmmmm....I'll go with November 2nd.
Elijah is about 6 months away from crawling..and he's 7 months old!!!! Arg! Oh well, I guess that means we get to snuggle with him longer. :)

I know--maybe they'll feel guilty about going if O crawls while they are gone! Probably not--I don't think I would feel guilty about such a fun trip!

I'm afraid that she will get up and run before she crawls, you know I worry about that recipricol crawling cunundrum, anyway.....I hope she proves me wrong and waits 'till I come back but my money is on the 21st.
