Well, Olivia and I survived our first day of my going back to work. Thank goodness! Thanks to all of you who had me in your thoughts and prayers today! It went well, and I actually enjoyed being back at work and getting back into doing therapy. I surprised myself!
Olivia did great with Grampy...she even took a nap for him in her crib for 40 minutes! Maybe Grampy should watch Livi every day! :)
Excitement of the day: Olivia pooped! (Sad when that's the excitement, but when it is Thursday and she hasn't pooped since last Friday that's big news!!)
Frustration of the day: I have a headache. That's not that exciting either!

E...your work is also about who you are as a mother...being a role-model, sharing your gifts with others, life-long learning, and having a moral purpose...although that is all hard to see in this moment. Little Olivia will reap those benefits in unseeing ways. GD (Grammi Dondi)
Hi Ehlan-
I am glad you made it through day 1! You are a strong person and I am sure you will continue to remember why you do what you do! My goodness you have made it through 9 months of carrying Olivia and now being an amazing Mother with a sense of calmness I don't think I have ever seen before! We need to catch up and I need to cuddle Olivia again for a couple hours!

Hi Ehlan! The Blog is a great idea. How special will it be for her to have some insight into what was going on with you as she was growing up. Therapy is demanding, but it might be just what you need right now. Being a good therapist and a great Mom! How satisfying is that? By the way, this is Dave H from St. Thomas, Marriage and Family, etc.
Thanks to all of you for your positive comments! It is so comforting to know that I have so much support both in working and with my little Olivia! You are all wonderful and very special to me! Keep the thoughts coming!!
