No? Mom.

Olivia has turned into quite the little talker...and I just LOVE it! It's so much fun to hear her come up with new words everyday, and to put words together! She puts 2-4 words together frequently and she just sounds adorable.

But one of my favorite things that Olivia says is "no"...and I love it because she says "no" for "yes". It cracks me up. It sounds more litle a question and is said in a very quiet voice. She does, of course, say "no" for "no". That sounds more like NO! or NO-NO! :) Not quite as cute... I love when I ask her if she wants something--like today I asked her if she wanted a snack and she said "no?" and then walked upstairs to her highchair. Love it...

She has also transitioned from calling me mama to either Mommy or Mom (WHAT!) I am so not ready to be called Mom. Mommy I can handle, Mom not so much. We went to the Children's Museum with Bridgit, Oran, and Jackson last week and I kept hearing this little voice saying "Mom!"...it took me a while to respond because I figured it was some 6 year old calling for their mom...not my 16 month old!

Dream #2

I had baby dream #2 last night! In my dream the little babe was....

A boy! Crazy. We named him Michael Eli (not even names we have considered...how does the mind work??).

The weird thing is it follows the same pattern as my pregnancy with Olivia. I had my 1st dream with her that she was a girl, and it was very vivid. The second dream, baby was a boy, and also very vivid. The rest of the dreams that followed were mixed, but not as vivid. Okay, so I know I think too much about it...I'm not weird though, I just think it's interesting. :)

Baby Ruby Update

I had my first pregnancy/baby dream. I dreamed we had a little girl and we named her Ruby. When I woke up I thought, WHAT! Ruby? Now the name is growing on me...not that if baby is a girl we will be naming her Ruby...but it's cute. So for now, little bebe is affectionately called Baby Ruby by Ryan and I. Hopefully if it's a boy it won't have any gender identity issues. :)

I'm 15 weeks today! Hooray! I can't believe how fast things are going. We have been so busy lately, just with summer and work and vacations and life, that I feel like I hardly have time to think about this little babe! It's funny how when I was pregnant with Olivia, it was all I thought about. I certainly think about it this time, but time goes by and then I go, Oh yea, I'm pregnant! Usually I'm reminded by waves of nausea. (Seriously, anytime you want to go away, I'm ready for it!) It is getting better for the most part, but I have still been feeling sick a lot and still barfing. Gross. :) I'm dying for our appointment next week so I can hear that little bitty heart again!

4th of July

Yes, yes we're here! We have been incredibly busy with trips to SD to visit friends and up to the cabin to visit family! Here's some pics from the 4th of Olivia!

Potty Training?

I know what you are thinking....she's not quite 16 months old. But she always has been advanced.

No, no...I'm not really thinking of potty training already! However, Olivia is thinking something!

She has recently learned the word (and the meaning of the word) "toot". Great word huh? :) She thinks it's hilarious whenever she or anyone else toots (not that I do that, right?)! :) Tonight she was in the bathtub and was just about ready to get out when she got a serious look on her face. She looked up at me and said, "toot!" You can just imagine what I saw floating in the tub next.

Well, at least she is learning how it feels! Next time we'll work on, "Put me on the pot!"

To answer a few more questions:

Dan: No, I probably will never sky dive. I'm so sorry to disappoint you....but jumping out of a plane is a little more than I think I can ever handle. I can't even address the coworker question...is it really even a question? I mean, really, who can compare to you (and Doyle, and Rana, and Shaner...who is a principal now, did you hear!)

Tiff: Quiet time activity--NAPPING!!! My all-time favorite! I also enjoy reading or just having some quiet time to think and pray. Dates--we usually just go for dinner and a movie or to do some shopping, we don't get to go as often as we want to or probably need to! My parents watch her. I've been too nervous to leave her with too many others!! :) 1st baby syndrome!

Gina: That's a tough one! One thing that I really miss, that is super silly, is this dip that Philadelphia cream cheese used to make--it was a potato chip dip that was like salsa cream cheese goodness...it was the best. Ryan and I had it on one of our first dates (a picnic at Taylor's falls) and we have never been able to find it since! :(

If I could own any kind of shop, I would totally own an underwear shop. Not a skanky, victoria's secret store, but just fun underwear of all kinds! Of course with underwear would come socks and pajamas. And my underwear would be supercute, comfortable, line-free, and snuggie-free. It would be inexpensive and yet of the highest quality. And it would fit everyone...and you would all look hot in my underwear.

1st tri

First of all, I'm not complaining. I am thrilled to be pregnant--beyond thrilled--but I will be even MORE thrilled when the 1st tri is done.

Things I don't like about the 1st tri of pregnancy:
1. Being sick--ALL THE TIME. I get horrible "morning sickness"...try all the time sickness...I have to be on medication so I don't vomit continually and it gets old.
2. Being tired.
3. Looking fat, and not pregnant.
4. Reg. clothes too small, maternity clothes too big!

I love the remainder of pregnancy though! At least I did last time! I'm sure it will be a bit different now that I already have a little one to take care of...but once I'm feeling better, really not much can bring me down!

I'll be 12 weeks tomorrow (thursday) and hopefully will be up and running on full speed again soon! :)
