Can it be?
How can this tiny almost crawling little man of mine almost be 6 months old???
We've been incredibly busy this week with working, playtime, VBS, and way too much HEAT. I feel as though I've hardly had a chance to slow down, get anything done, and just plain enjoy my kids!
Speaking of enjoying my kids, starting Saturday I will be without my little Olivia for a few days while we are in Portland. O will be staying with Grammi and Grampa while we are gone. I anticipate she will miss her "Aider-man" much more than me or Ry (until we are back anyway!).
The humidity does nothing for my appearance.
I am able to FINALLY fit into pre-pregnancy pants. And let me clarify, I mean pre-pregnancy BEFORE OLIVIA!!! :) Amazing! There's nothing like being able to fit into a single digit size (at least for SOME of the pants!!)...
Life has seemed tragic this week, surrounded by a ton of accidents where we live. Some have seemed to reallly strike a chord in my life, for one reason or another, and I am reminded about how precious life is and how it can be changed in an instant.
Okay, I'm done rambling. I probably won't post for a while as we leave Sat. for Portland, come back Wed., and probably will be leaving Thursday for our 4th of July weekend up north!! See you when we return!!

Happy Father's Day!

A fun day!
BUT! It ended up being a great day! After my meeting I went to visit my B/F/F/O/I/K/Y/A Bridgit (she lives just 5 min. from where our meeting is) and brought us YUMMY Panera sandwiches for lunch. (Side note: If you live in the town where I live, don't you think we should be getting Panera and not Sonic? Seriously, all we need is more fast food burgers. Anyway.) It was so delightful to be able to go visit and love on her little baby Cora, and play with her boys. It was the first time I'd really been around Jackson (almost 3) without Olivia, and he was a TOTALLY different kid. He has such a hilarious personality and I loved it! Our visit was short, but it was so nice!
When I got home my mom had just put Olivia down for her nap (THANK YOU!) and Aidan was so happy to see me! My mom was feeding him in his bumbo chair when I came in and he had the biggest smile. After I said hi, I ran upstairs quick, and he started crying--THEN he said "MA"!!! Fluke, maybe...but I like to think not! He's almost 5 1/2 mos. so it's time for some consonant-vowel sounds--let the MA's come! :) THEN, I nursed him and put him down for his nap. He slept for 2 hours!!! And Olivia slept for 2 1/2 total. I had some great ME time this afternoon. AND when Olivia woke up we had 45 min. of time just the 2 of us to read and cuddle--much needed!
THEN(I know, the greatness doesn't end!!) when Ryan came home, Aidan and I drove to town and picked up my friend Rana. We did "drive-bys" of some places she is scoping out for daycare (she has a little man, Jack, who is almost 4 months) and then were debating between buying some ice cream at the grocery store or DQ. We ended up at the grocery store were I (we) ran into one of my ALL TIME favorite people-my midwife Susan. Almost made me wish I was prego...but not really. Just made me miss our monthly/weekly visits! After wandering the grocery store we decided on DQ anyway and went out to the parking lot where we ran into MORE all time favorite people--My hubby and Olivia! :) We headed to DQ and lounged in the grass smooching on our babies and eating ice cream.
Lovely day!!

Off the top of my head...
I only have 118 client contact hours (out of 1000) before I can take ONE MORE exam and be fully licensed as a Marriage & Family Therapist.
I think this HD TV thing sucks. We get LESS channels now than before. And I don't want to spend more money on an antenna.
I don't think Aidan will ever sleep through the night. Nor do I think he's ready to yet--he's too little and needs to eat. But Mama needs sleep...
It's my birthday this coming Sunday. Birthdays just aren't as big a deal when you are turning 28...even though I still want them to be. :)
Where do nukies go when I can't find them? I still think the holes on the side would be put to much better use with a string holding them on the face.
We're going on vacation to Portland next week. Woot woot!

Irritated & More!
So I've tried for 2 days to upload video of Aidan on blogger. Video I KNOW you will all want to see. But I am unsuccessful. After 4 hours (yes you read that right) of trying yesterday and 45 min. tonight I have given up. Well, given up with blogger. I am now in process of uploading to you tube. And I'll have to put them in another post.
What? Oh, I forgot to tell you what it's of!
Aidan is scooting! Crazy man! At 5 mos. and 3 days he started scooting across the living room! He loves it! Aside from the fact that I had to bring him to the doctor today and he has his first ear infection, he is happy as a clam! Poor little guy-I hope it clears up fast. The one good thing that comes from us knowing he has an ear infection is it gives me some reasons why he's been sleeping so crappy the last few nights. Answers = relief! I hope when he's feeling better more sleep will be coming for all of us!
Olivia's doing good--her usual spirited self. She is teething- 2 year molars- and she gets so naughty when she's teething!! Stinker. Like Aidan, at least I know why!! Today she didn't nap, long story why, but she was asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow tonight. I'm hoping for a sleeping in morning tomorrow!
Olivia has been into "excuses" lately. For everything she doesn't want to do, she thinks she has a great excuse for why! I'm sick, it's too late, I'm too little, it's too cold, I'm too hot, It's dirty (and of course none of these really apply to whatever she's talking about!) and my all time favorite: It's too dangerous! Once again, my sayings have come back to bite me in the butt! :) Gotta love it!
The other day Olivia had a half piece of gum; she was doing a great job chomping away and not spitting it out, playing with it, etc. I got her out of her car seat to go into a restaurant and she opened her mouth and said, All Gone! Knowing full well she'd swallowed it, I said, Oh no! Where'd it go? She said: Down the hole! Hee hee... She cracks me up!
I've been having crazy, intense dreams lately! And they are anxiety dreams about school, work, kids, whatever! I think it's my lack of sleep, but they are too much! I worry enough when I'm awake, I don't need to do it when I'm sleeping too. Megan and Alicia, one of them was about you guys! Alicia, I was staying at your house with my kids while you were gone (it was totally not really your house though) and Megan came over. When she got there I realized how much I'd trashed the house and freaked out! I frantically began cleaning when your family came home to find me in your trashed house. Random.... :)
